Chiplow’s
green and pleasant fields, but for how long ?
The proposed wind farm will be on farm land between Bagthorpe, Barmer and Syderstone, within the Borough of Kings Lynn and West Norfolk District Council. There is no such place as Chiplow, but there is a piece of ancient woodland nearby, which is called Chiplow Plantation. It is a name which is hardly known within the surrounding villages and certainly not beyond. However the power company has decided to refer to their wind farm site as Chiplow. The OS grid reference for Chiplow is TF812321, which is latitude 52:51:21 North and longitude 00:41:23 East. The landowner is Cllr Richard Woods of Syderstone.
